Mission of Hope Haiti

Mission of Hope - Haiti

MOH is the mission organization that I have been in contact with and will be interning through. I am so excited to be getting the opportunity to serve the people of Haiti and I cannot wait to begin figuring out all of the details and finalizing my plans. Already things are coming so soon and I have begun thinking up some fundraising ideas to gain financial support. Here are some of the upcoming events currently being planned:

December 12, 2010 - We will be having a bake sale and are looking for people to donate their baked goods. For anyone willing to offer support in this way, please bring baked goods to Faith Free Evangelical Church (behind Wal-Mart) anytime before 10 o'clock on this Sunday, December 12.

December 17, 2010 - Along with one of my teachers, I have been working towards arranging a middle school Christmas dance at AV-W middle school; however, after contacting a local DJ, have found that this date is not available. The good news is that January 14, 2011 is open and the DJ is willing to offer their services for a low cost in the hopes of helping me fundraise money. I am going to be looking for some adult volunteer chaperones as well as any donated food and drink to have available for the kids to buy. More information will be out as soon as more details are worked out.

January 15, 2011 - Join us for a day of fun on the ice. The Herrick household will be hosting an ice fishing competition in one of the many bays on White Sand Lake - fantastic fishing waters! Come out for a day filled with fishing, fellowship, and a little bit of competition. Food and drink will also be available for purchase as an additional fundraising effort. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Entry fee is $5 per hole.

For those who feel led to help support me financially, please make checks payable to:
Hanna Herrick or Mission of Hope

and send to:
12980 County Rd D
Lac du Flambeau, WI 54538

Also, please keep me in your prayers now and throughout my stay.

God bless,
Hanna Linden
